Salvia Divinorum and Accidents

Moderate to strong doses of salvia divinorum causes impairment to one's motor ability. It should never be consumed while standing or sitting in an unsafe place.

People across the internet have documented some accidents such as falling while standing or sitting in a chair. I am unaware of any car accidents caused by it but obviously it should never be consumed while driving.

A 12 year old kid in Ohio, USA whose mother gave him salvia divinorum and a shotgun, evidently shot and killed his playmate. It is unclear if he was under the influence of the plant when he pulled the trigger. Kids and salvia don't mix, nevermind kids, salvia, and shotguns. The mom should be hung but the plant will be blamed instead.
